A work of art, for me, is like a place where you can find a capacity to feel, where you can meet with a humanity that has moved forward, even just slightly, its boundary and walks now on a new border, where is learning to see something that is continuously changing and renewing itself.
Making a work of art is like creating a universe within which unknown, unexpected things happen and they reveal something of ourselves, of our gaze, of our ability to connect what is outside and what is inside, what is inside and what is beyond...
From some years now my research has moved towards abstraction. I work a lot with matter, with colour and with geometry, mostly lines, my geometry is very "gentle", my lines are like winding paths and this is how I feel when I trace them, like someone walking down a road.
My paintings are mostly born from a set of situations: a place I visited, a landscape, a space, a colour, a light, a certain atmosphere that stands out and lasts for a more or less long period of time, sometimes for many days and it gets fixed; it can also be accompanied by words, or by sounds.
